
Sustainability Analyst
The Role
We are excited to invite applications for the position of Sustainability Analyst with varying years of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting environmental and social impact data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for our clients. You will support or lead designated analysis areas within the project team as a Sustainability Analyst.
The Sustainability Analyst will oversee the successful delivery of key analytical outputs, which may include ESG ratings, certifications, and regulatory compliance. This position requires comfort in a technical leadership role, providing support to project managers and engaging with senior stakeholders. Additionally, you will serve as an authority on analytical tools and techniques while mentoring others to ensure high-quality business analysis outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Management: Compile sustainability data from a variety of sources, including internal systems, external databases, and field surveys.
Data Analysis: Apply statistical methods and data visualisation tools to analyse sustainability data, uncovering significant patterns and trends.
Impact Assessment: Assess the environmental and social impacts of business operations, including carbon footprint calculations.
Reporting and Communication: Create comprehensive sustainability reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders, including leadership, investors, and regulatory bodies.
Benchmarking: Evaluate sustainability performance against industry standards and peer organisations and highlighting the intersection between different standards.
Goal Setting and Strategy Development: Support the establishment of sustainability goals and craft strategies to achieve them.
Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging regulations, trends, technologies, and data analysis methods in sustainability.
Required Skills
Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI etc.).
Sustainability Knowledge: Familiarity with environmental and social impact metrics and frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, Ecovadis, B Corp), and applicable regulations (e.g., CSRD).
Analytical Thinking: Capability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey findings to diverse audiences.
Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
