Adelie helps Singapore companies build an environmental management system that works in practice and passes certification first time. Most of our clients are SMEs and manufacturers, along with suppliers whose multinational customers now ask for ISO 14001 or an EcoVadis rating before awarding or renewing contracts. Our Singapore team delivers locally, on site and online, working alongside your operations and EHS staff rather than handing over a template manual. As an SS 680-certified consultancy, we meet Enterprise Singapore's consultant requirement, so eligible projects can be grant funded. Typical outcomes: accredited ISO 14001 certification, a clear register of environmental aspects and legal obligations, measurable targets for energy, waste and emissions, and documentation you can reuse for EcoVadis, customer questionnaires and sustainability reporting.
Enterprise Singapore’s EDGE Grant helps Singapore companies build their environmental management capabilities and achieve accredited ISO 14001 certification. Support covers professional service costs, including working with Adelie, and first-year certification by an accredited certification body.
Not covered: surveillance and renewal audits after the first year, GST and software.

How ISO 14001 certification works: our 5-step process
Gap Analysis & Scoping

EMS Design
We design an Environmental Management System that fits how your business actually runs, covering your environmental policy, aspects and impacts register, legal compliance obligations, and objectives and targets. We document the procedures, records and controls behind it, so the system is clear, practical and audit-ready.
Implementation & Training
We help you put the EMS into practice across your sites and teams. We train managers and staff on their responsibilities, set up monitoring and records, and embed the system in day-to-day operations so it keeps running without us.

Internal Audit
Before certification, we run a full internal audit and management review, testing the system against every clause of the standard. We help you close any nonconformities so you go into the external audit with confidence.
Certification Audit
We support you through the Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits with your accredited certification body, help you respond to any findings, and set you up to maintain certification through annual surveillance audits.

What drives the cost of ISO 14001 certification in Singapore?
Cost depends mainly on the number of sites and employees, the environmental risks of your operations, and how much of a management system you already have in place. Certification body fees for the Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits are quoted separately from consultancy. For eligible companies, Enterprise Singapore offers up to 70% support for SMEs and up to 50% support for non-SMEs.
How long does ISO 14001 certification take?
Most organisations take six to twelve months from gap analysis to certificate, depending on their starting point and the time their team can commit. The EMS needs to be running, with an internal audit and management review completed, before the certification audit. Grant-funded projects must be completed within 12 months from the date of approval.
How do I choose a certification body?
Pick a certification body accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) or an internationally recognised accreditation body under the ILAC, IAF or APAC MRA. Enterprise Singapore requires this for grant-supported certification costs, and it is what customers and tender panels recognise. Compare quotes, auditor experience in your sector and audit availability. We can help you shortlist and run the selection.
We’ll check your eligibility and scope your ISO 14001 project.
